SOL

SOL or the Skilled Occupation List summarises the occupations Australia needs to fill skill shortages.

The below is a list of current occupations eligible for particular visa types. You can either choose your visa type below to see whether your occupation falls within a certain visa or Ctrl +F and search the list below that indicates which occupations are eligible for particular visa types. Each occupation has a corresponding ANZSCO code. You can also do an occupation search here. For the pending Skilled Migration Occupation Lists Review see here (flagged occupations). The following visas are available to individuals who are qualified to work or train in an eligible skilled occupation in Australia and can meet all other requirements:

  • The acronyms used in the last column of the table are listed in the Assessing authorities.
  • There are caveats on certain occupations (indicated via asterisk(s)) which exclude the use of the occupation in certain circumstances for the subclass 186 and TSS visa programs only. A summary of caveats on occupations is available.
  • The acronyms used in the last column of the table are listed in the Assessing authorities. The assessing authorities do not apply to the subclass 407 visa.
