The Department of Home Affairs allows the South Australia (SA) Government to nominate applicants for the following visa types:
- Skilled Work Regional Visa (Provisional) – Subclass 491
- Skilled Nominated Visa (Permanent) – Subclass 190
If you are interested in being considered by the SA Government, you need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) visa SkillSelect. SkillSelect is the program administered by the Department of Home Affairs.
South Australia Eligibility Requirements
Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190) & Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491)
In general, to be eligible to apply for this visa, you must:
- Be under the age of 45 at the time of nomination;
- Have a valid skills assessment; and
- Have an occupation on the South Australia Skilled Occupation List

Skilled Migration Program

South Australia Offshore Skilled Migration Program
South Australia’s Offshore Skilled Migration Program is open to specific trade and health occupations. The eligibility requirements for this program are higher than applicants who are applying in Australia. You must also have an occupation on the SA Offshore Occupation List.
