The Department of Home Affairs allows the Northern Territory (NT) Government to nominate applicants for the following visa types:
- Skilled Work Regional Visa (Provisional) – Subclass 491
- Skilled Nominated Visa (Permanent) – Subclass 190
If you are interested in being considered by the NT Government, you need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) visa SkillSelect. SkillSelect is the program administered by the Department of Home Affairs.
Northern Territory 190 Visa Requirements
The NT Government can nominate applicants for the Subclass 190 visa if you meet the eligibility requirements. It should be noted that, generally, only applicants who have lived in the NT on a long-term basis and who are able to demonstrate a long term ongoing commitment to the NT will be considered for a subclass 190 permanent residence visa nomination. For more information, see our page on Northern Territory 190 Visa Requirements.
To apply for the NT Government Nomination, there is a non-refundable service fee of $300 which is charged for the processing of the applications. This is an administration charge only and does not guarantee an approval of the application for NT nomination.
