Below is a General Guide Regarding the Government Costs Involved in Making a Skilled Visa Application
There is no government fee to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI).
Our professional fees for a skills assessment application as a stand-alone service is around $1500+GST for non-trade occupations and $2500+GST for trade occupations (+fees charged by the assessing body).
NIV 858 visa fees – National Innovation visa fees (Professional VisaEnvoy fees)
1st stage: $1,500 to $2500 – upon engagement
2nd stage: $2,000 to $3000 – upon receipt of Unique Identifier
3rd stage: $2,000 – $3,000 – upon visa lodgement
887 visa fees
For the 887 visa , VisaEnvoy Professional fees are $2000 and $500 for each dependent (plus GST).
DHA fees for the 887 visa are $490 for the main applicant, $245 for partner and $125 for each additional applicant under 18.
Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)-DOHA Fees

From 1 February 2025 the base application charge component of the VAC for an initial Subclass 485 visa primary applicant is increased to $2,235, for secondary applicants over 18 to $1,115 and for those under 18 to $560.
For holders of a Sc 485 visa in the Post‑Study Work stream, the Post‑Higher Education Work stream or the Replacement stream, applying for subsequent Subclass 485 visa in the Post‑Higher Education Work stream, the VAC is increased to $880, secondary applicant over 18 to $440 and under 18 to $225.
These amendments apply to applications made on or after 25 February 2025.
Standard VisaEnvoy professional fees for 485 visas (case by case for complex cases):
- 485 visa (Post Study Work Stream): Starting from $900 + GST (additional $400 for each dependent)
- 485 (Graduate Work Stream- includes skills assessment): Starting from $1400 + GST (additional $400 for each dependent) and includes the skills assessment process. More details below*.
- 485 Subsequent Entrant: VisaEnvoy fee is $1,600 (plus $160 GST) and Visa Application Charge (VAC) is $1,730.
- We offer a complimentary migration pathway consultation to our 485 visa clients (valued at $160)
*From 1 July 2022, applicants for a 485 visa will no longer require a skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority. They will instead be able to apply directly to Department of Home Affairs for the visa itself. As a result of this, many skills assessing authorities will not accept new skills assessment applications for candidates applying for this visa from 10 June 2022.
