870 Parent Visa Assessment

You may be able to sponsor your parents to come to Australia on a temporary basis under the 870 visa if you’re at least 18 years old and an:

• Australian citizen or
• permanent resident of Australia

If you sponsor your parents to come to Australia as a permanent resident, you must:

• support them financially.
• make sure they don’t need social assistance from the government
• you and your spouse have a certain amount of income to support yourself and those of your parents

Please note only candidates who we believe may be eligible for an Australian visa will be contacted to make a booking for a detailed visa assessment and consultation.  Australian immigration law is complex and conducting an appropriate initial assessment takes time. As such we charge a minimal fee. This form must be completed by the Australian permanent resident or citizen child who will be sponsoring their parent to come to Australia on the 870 visa.
