State sponsorship – Vic and Qld suspend applications

Victoria are currently experiencing a very high volume of applications for visa nomination for skilled migration. To help us manage this demand, and meet our service commitments to you, VIC are not accepting any new Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) or Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) nomination applications at this time.

BSMQ issuing new invitations for business visa applications. Invitations for skilled applications are still currently suspended.

Business nominations

BSMQ is continuing to issue new invitations for business applications, however due to a backlog of applications, the processing of new business visa applications may be delayed until July 2018.

Skilled nominations

BSMQ currently has a backlog of applications and is temporarily suspending issuing new invitations for skilled applications until July 2018. Please note you will have to lodge a new Expression of Interest (EOI) in July 2018 to be considered for skilled state nomination. BSMQ will not be assessing EOIs lodged prior to the program re-opening. Please monitor our website in the upcoming weeks.
