Australia Parent Visa Application Costs

Below is the DoHA Fees (Government Fees) to make a valid a Parent Visa Application:

SC 143 – CONTRIBUTORY PARENT Visa Application Charge	see details	First instalment (payable at the time the application is made): $5,040 – main applicant, $1,700 – partner (and any child over 18) and $855 – each child under 18 years of age Second instalment fee (payable before grant of visa): $43,600 each applicant All parents applying through the contributory parent visa must make a deposit to the Australian government of AUD$43,600 per adult. This must be paid prior to the granting of the visa.
SC 864 – CONTRIBUTORY AGED PARENT Visa Application Charge	see details	First instalment (payable at the time the application is made): $5,040 – main applicant, $2,515 – partner (and any child over 18) and $1,260 – each child under 18 years of age Second instalment fee (payable before grant of visa): $43,600 each applicant All parents applying through the contributory parent visa must make a deposit to the Australian government of AUD$43,600 per adult. This must be paid prior to the granting of the visa.
Assurance of Support (AoS)	see details	In addition to the above fees for Contributory Parent Visas, there is an AoS which is payable at around the time of decision. For one applicant, the AoS is currently $10,000. For two applicants, the AoS is currently $14,000 in total. This bond is refunded ten years after a contributory parent visa holder enters Australia, and is subject to deductions to account for any debts that may be owed to the Australian government.

Medical Examination	Approx. $350 per adult and $300 per child	This fee is payable for each person included in your visa application and must be paid to the doctor doing your medical tests.
Police Checks	see details	This fee is payable to the police authorities in the countries where you have lived for 12 months or more.
Translation of Documents (if required)	see details	This fee is to be paid to the person responsible for certifying / translating your documents.

Management of your parent visa by a Registered Migration Agent	$3,500 to $5,500	Your case is managed by a VisaEnvoy Migration Registered Migration Agent.

If you have lodged a parent visa that has been refused, you may be able to appeal the decision. The Administrative Review Tribunal(ART) charges a fee of AUD $3,580 (from 1 July 2025) for an appeal. Our fee to manage an ART appeal will depend on the circumstances of your case, but we will always provide you with an estimate following your initial consultation with us.
